Question about Statin drug (Lipitor) and Letrozole

My LDL went up quite a bit since I started Letrozole. I remember reading somewhere that increased cholesterol is a side effect of AI’s. My cardiologist put me on Lipitor 10mg (a low dose) which I will start soon. I noticed that a side effect of that is muscle weakness.

I am just wondering if anyone has had any muscle weakness side effects from Lipitor. I suspect it happens more with much higher doses.

I started going to a local gym and have been eating a more plant based diet so hopefully I am headed in a healthy direction.

So far so good on Letrozole. I’ve been on it for 4 months and so far no side effects that I am aware of.

    I am on 20 mg of Lipitor and also on letrozole. I do not have any muscle weakness nor other SE. Good luck with lowering your LDL.

    Thank you Betrayal, good to know! I hate taking medications, but understand that sometimes we need them to stay healthy. I am scheduled for blood work in two months, see my cardiologist again in April. I love it when appointments are further apart, it feels like I am making progress, although I am not sure it really indicates that. Whatever, I am for anything that even remotely seems like a positive!
