up .5....I placate myself that I have been on a two week vacation...but I am up 4.5 lbs over the past 6 months...need to work on this better...I say as I leave tomorrow for a 10 day business trip. TT
-
Down 1lb, it’s going in the right direction!
-
Down 4lbs this week. I did alternate day fasting, which always works really well. Hope I can keep it up. X
-
ScotBird- congrats on the weight loss! what does alternate day fasting look like for you? I’m still the same weight and making peace with the pounds that are stuck there, but not looking forward to swimsuit season
-
Good for you, Scotbird! I couldn't possibly fast. If I don't eat every 3 or 4 hours, I get weak and shaky. Borderline diabetic.
I have been weighing at the gym and have not managed to drop any lbs.
-
Way to go Scotbird! I would love to know you routine for fasting to. I think something like that would work well me. I havent weighed this week but everything feels the same..Haha!
-
I got a new scale in May - the Renpho. It links to your phone (everyone in the household with their own phone can make their own account) and it does some body analysis too so it tells you your % body fat, visceral fat, muscle, bone mass etc. I don't know how accurate all the other stuff is but it's fun. I fluctuate a lot but the trend line is good. Down 1.35 kg (just a hair shy of 3lb) over past 7 weeks.
-
Sounds cool moth. As long as the scale doesn’t talk to me as in chastising me when I gain weight.

Well I have not managed to keep up my alternate day fasting this week. Basically, when I do it,on alternate days I can only eat apples, as many of them as I want, which is usually between four and six of them. I’m also allowed as much coffee and tea as I want, with skimmed milk and I’m allowed one glass of wine as well. I’m going to start again next week as I do prefer to be slimmer. Just feel so much better and happier too. X
-
Very interesting approach, Scotbird. It does keep things simple. I can't count calories for the life of me but I can count apples. Except I'm allergic to them unless they're cooked. I can also count slices of apple pie. Lol.
Trend is also down for me. I have been increasing my fasting window by at least 2 hours most days (from 12 Hours overnight fast) and this seems to be helping. I may have to try a version of alternate day fasting before I don a bathing suit.
-
LOL on being chastised by a scale!
-
I haven’t been posting because I was just hovering around 128 and it seems that may be about as low as I can tolerate. Then I bought a multi pack of Naked smoothies and gained 3 lbs. Fruit sugar or not, I gain weight, so lesson learned. I also gained weight on a sugar free cheesecake I made for DH. Gave them up and I am back to 128.4 today. I keep chocolate almonds as my sweet snack and that works better than other “sins” for me.
I am an advocate of intermittent fasting as Heidi describes. I want to try to shrink my eating hours further but eat more food during those hours, ie I may only eat between 10:30 and 5. It seems like I can eat a lot more food doing this and be satisfied and not gain weight. I have used this method for restaurant eating and it works for me so I want to try it on a daily basis. I am so used to eating small meals but then I am always hungry before bed again.
-
still the same weight. Still want to lose 5.
Good job everyone for coming by and logging your progress!
-
I have been good a few days/bad a few days/good a few days etc. etc. So......no progress....
-
Down .5
After many weeks of much travel, I am finally home for a month straight...hope to make some progress, have tried a new pilates studio in addition to my regular yoga practice, but am not sure the instructors I have been with are very good. Got a 10 class pass so will go through that before deciding what to try next in addition to my 4-5 yoga classes a week. TT
-
Down .5
Two weeks in a row, first time in months.....now to keep working on it! TT
-
TrmTab that’s great well done! I always get a class pass to make myself go to Pilates. The one I’m using now is 33 classes of Pilates Reformer. It has to be used within 6 months. I’ve still got 10 classes left and have to use them by 14th August so I’m going twice this week. I hate the class itself but always feel a lotbetter afterwards. My weigh in this week is up 1. Keep trying everyone. It’s really difficult to eat less and move more but I think it’s worth it. I always feel much better when my weight is about 10lbs less than it is right now.
-
TT- way to go!!! I havent even had time to get on the scales! My clothes are still.loose!
-
Down 1 this week. I’ve decided to give up all alcohol for the whole of July. Feeling virtuous tonight as I went out for dinner with friend who started with Aperol and finished with Cognac! I had the iced water only. X
-
ScotBird, I really noticed when I quit drinking. There are a lot of calories in drinks and they go down so easily.
-
That's strong will Scotbird! I've not lost but I'm holding steady I'll take that for now! Happy 4th to all who celebrate!🎆🎇✨
-
down one, but since we're hosting a picnic tomorrow.......I'm glad I weighed today!
-
flat last week
Then +2 this week, ugh
Now in DC for four days of business
-
I am up 2 lbs since our arrival in MN in late May. I don't cook as wisely during the summer as during the 8 months at home in Louisiana.
-
Well, after bouncing up 2lbs last week I am down 1.5 today...whew.
-
just got back from a beach vacation.......not good!
-
partied all weekend long- gained 5 lbs. what?!
-
I hear you...I was in DC on business for 5 days and was up yesterday 4lbs! Like how??? Now back to the normal patterns for a couple of weeks. TT
-
It's not fair that weight piles on so easily and doesn't drop off easily!!
I was back down to 172 yesterday when I weighed at the gym. 12 lbs over my elusive goal.
-
I've lost the same 10 pounds about a million times. Right now they have found me again......
