Is Tumeric safe to take for those of us who had ER+, PR+ tumors?

I finally found Tumeric without Soy and began taking it today. I am now unsure if this was a wise move after reading conflicting information online. Some say that it increases Estrogen, others say that it decreases Estrogen. I have not discussed this with my oncologist. Your thoughts? Are any of you taking this supplement?

I think the supplement you want is curcumin, which is the active ingredient in tumeric root. I had TNBC so do not know about hormones but I know my integrative onc is enthusiastic about curcumin for a lot of anti cancer benefits. i love that I am ache-and-pain free. I take about 4000mg/day.

Hi! I'm currently taking Tumeric and my oncologist has no objections. Like you I had to find one without soy. From what I've learned, soy creates estrogen and since I am ER+ I avoid soy.
