Any of you ladies had a gallbladder issue before surgery? Mine was picked up on chest x ray pre op testing for my BMX. (I have ILC Nurse told me and the surgeon has not seen it yet. Nervous this will mess up my bc surgery which is likely going to be end Aug early Sept. surgeon said he wants it done by mid Sept...but now this. Worried this might trump the other and cause more tests etc in case its infected or something as its inflamed. I do get ALOT if indigestion and intermittent nausea but not too bad. Anyone have any insights or experience w gallbladder issues?Timing for this very bad esp bc I thought the treatment for gallbladder issues is surgery!

As an “incindentaloma” on one of my presurgery CTs when I had ovarian cancer it was noted that I had some gall stones (as well as kidney cyst, cyst on the head of my humerous, liver cyst, etc.) A big percentage of women my age do. No recommendation to do anything about it. They see all kinds of things on scans that you likely would never know about and that would never be any kind of problem. They may not think it needs any immediate attention, or even any at all

A ct scan picked up a very large stone in the neck of my gallbladder. It did not give me any issues. My GI doc recommended removal. This happened in the Fall after I'd had the mx and exchange. The surgery was laparoscopic and recovery was easy. I barely remember the whole thing.

Shoot, my pre-op scan picked up kidney cancer and an aortic aneurysm. I still had my lumpectomy and a re-excision before a total nephrectomy was squeezed in before I did radiation (VERY busy second half of 2018!). I finally got in to see a cardiothoracic surgeon this year and I'm in a fairly long-term observation situation. So your medical team should help you prioritize any bonus crap that shows up on scans.
