Hello All,

I was originally dx with stage 2B, after surgery, I am now stage 3C. Im really trying to wrap my mind around all of this, but it's hard. I have a one year old (almost 2) and Im currently 18 weeks pregnant.

I feel sorry for myself but mostly feel guilty for my kids. I really don't want to leave them anytime soon. They are my world. And my Fiance, I couldn't ask for anyone better. He has been to every appointment and supportive in ever way possible. I really don't want to put them through this. But here I am.

Each doctors visit seems to hit me with even more news. Yet Im continuing to pray for the best. The odds have been stacked against me. All the positive lymph nodes, the pregnancy that can feed the cancer growth, triple positive, upper collar bone lymph node involvement and under 45. I'm so worried about actually being Stage4.

All of your stories do give me hope and Im so lucky for this board. I'm praying for a good outcome thru this all.

Excuse any typos..

Kellie,

    Kellie,

I'm so sorry you had to join us. I was also diagnosed with triple positive breast cancer, and I remember how it feels when the news just seems to get worse and worse. (My tumor was originally supposed to be 3 cm.; after all the scans, it was over 5 cm. and had a satellite tumor! And then there was that PET scan which appeared to show something on my hip.....)

If there's any good news in your situation, it's that chemo is often very effective against aggressive, HER2+ cancer. After AC and THP, all of my active cancer was gone in my breast and compromised lymph node. I pray that you have a similar outcome. ((Hugs)) and yes, join us on the triple positive board.

Hi Kellie, I'm sorry you had to join us here. I am also young, and I have locally advanced breast cancer. It's hard facing this at a young age because it can feel very isolating - just remember that you are not alone. I'm wishing you strength and healing as you go through the next steps.

I am sorry you are going through this. I know it hurts when you have a little one and also a fiance who loves you. So much to live for! It is hard but try to make self care a priority, get yourself the very best medical care and enjoy each moment of your life. No one has a guaranteed tomorrow and unfortunately as cancer patients that fact is a little more in our faces. My best wishes for you

Everything you write is me one year ago... I was diagnosed while pregnant, did mastectomy and lymhnodedissection, gave birth two weeks later, started chemo two weeks after that.... Then radiation six months later... My prognosis is poor due to a high number of positive lymphnodes... But there is no evidensed disease and my one year little kid is doingfine...

Hi, I am so sorry to hear about your situation. As ladies wrote, you are not alone and hopefully all I’ll turn out good for you.

I am 32 diagnosed with 3c while 18w pregnant. So far went through A/c and taxol and delivered perfect baby girl end of June.i know it’s scary and I am scared too, my first PET and operation due in August. But you are stronger than you think. I found that pregnanc, though wasn’t easy, gave me will o fight and side effects were easier to handle.

It’s ok to be scared, I feel same about my timidly what you do about yours. It’s hard but there is support available so please do reach out at any time. Sending you lots of positive hugs.

    Anna-33;

I was diagnosed with Stage 3C breast cancer, with IDC, and IMPC (rare and highly aggressive;  as in Metastatic Lymph Node Cancer as one doc told me) and a smidgen of DCIS. In reality, I had Stage 4 (small itty bit of "suspected" cancer in my lung,) but my Onc said she preferred to say it was Stage 3C as it sounded more hopeful. But wait, it gets better  I had cancer in all 24 lymph nodes; it was already racing around in my bloodstream. I could not complete chemo because it made me too sick. I nearly died from the effects of the chemo on my system. I couldn't complete radiation either. I had to wear a Wound Vac strapped to my chest for months due to a massive infection following my second surgery as the first surgery did not produce the mandatory clear margins. Doctors gave me 2 years. That's how bad it was for me.Yet here I am. I survived 5 years of Aromatase Inhibitors. I don't know if I will survive the lymphedema, alas. The verdict is still pending, but that's another story. My point is that my scenario was and still is dire, yet HERE I AM. I have a daughter now in her 30s, an only child. Her father passed away just as she turned 16 so I am all she has. If for no other reason, I fight like hell to stay alive because I have to: I am a Mom. I know you know exactly what I mean. But boy, what a powerful motivator to stay alive.

….It all sucks. Every single bit of it. Not a day goes by that I don't feel anxiety or despair for a moment or two. And then I move on. So despite your valid fears about those pesky positive lymph nodes, if someone with all my negatives is till alive and kicking TEN YEARS LATERS, I know I have confidence you will be, too.  Hang in there. You are not alone. Not for a minute of any day.

    Hi Kellie,

I am new to the forum but like most, I am here to share my experience and gather insights to help my wife fight this dreadful disease. My wife was diagosed with stage 1 cancer in 2016 and 3 months later it spread to her lymph nodes. She found out that pregnant a week before her surgery date. Doctors insisted that she terminate and went ahead with her treatment plan. The baby was already exposed to radiation at 7 weeks. She was scheduled for double mastectomy but doctors ran out of OR time and only removed one.

A few weeks later she was booked for a termination but discovered that she was pregnant with twins during a sonogram. That was the sign she was looking for and she immediately left the room. She went through 4 sessions of chemo but decided to stop for the sake of her babies, the chemo was killing her slowly. Having double

Fast Forward to today, we had our twins and they are perfectly healthy. A few weeks ago we found out that the cancer had come back andhas spread to her chest, neck and both armpits. It seems extremely serious but we have a CT scan booked for next week to see how bad it is.

She is currently on Tamoxifen but we have decided to use alternative medicine, she is now on THC oil as well and will be doing chemo when the time comes. You can follow her story on her page on Facebook. It's Called "Jade Wyngaardt - Motivator "

Stellastar: You're post gives me hope. After my lumpectomy and sentinel node biopsy from my surgery on July 4, 2019 I have now as of today been staged as IIIa as my tumour(s) were small but mighty (IDC-NOS; 11 mm and 2 mm near each other) and I have 4/4 positive nodes, which was unexpected. Three have macrmetasteses (one with micropapillary features and the largest with a metastesis of 10mm) and one micrometastasis. I have seen your previous posts regarding IDC with micropapillary features as the original biopsy on mine stated that my tumour had micropapillary features; yet subsequently did not on the official pathology report. I also have grade III high grade. My breast MRI was negative except for the focal region in my right axillary area 9 cm from my nipple. I am also ER+/PR+ and HER2-. I am having trouble dealing with all of this. I should mention that I am 45 years old as well. Do you have any advice for coping.

I am glad to see that all the babes are fine. As a mother that is the MOST important thing to me; although I still wish that I did not have to go through this journey.
