has anyone in Toronto had this surgery. Who was your surgeon? Would your experience suggest I consider implants instead.

    As far as I know, the only Plastic Surgeons who specialize in breast reconstruction are the ones at the major hospitals. For something as complicated as a DIEP, personally I would stick with Dr. Lipa at Sunnybrook, one of the breast reconstruction Plastic Surgeons at PMH or Dr. Semple at Women's College.

    I was/am booked with Dr Zhong UHN. But the. More I Read about this surgery I realize it is More risky with long term risks and much more. Than I want. I see her on Thursday and will tell her I’ve switched to implants only although may a tummy tuck too. I’ve been happy with implants for 10’years so why not just have new implants put in. I’m only going through this because my implant allergen 410 ruptured.

    Dr. Hofer did my DIEP reconstruction surgery in 2016 and I am very happy with the results. If you're considering implants read about the recent world wide recall of textured implants.
