Hi Coconut_mom1 and welcome to Breastcancer.org,
We're sorry to hear you're experiencing this difficult side effect of treatment, but we're really glad you've found us! You're sure to find some great advice here from others who have gone through similar circumstances.
In the meantime, we thought these pages from the main Breastcancer.org site on Treatments for Vaginal Dryness and Irritation would be helpful.
We hope this helps and that we see you more around the boards. Welcome again!

Thank you for your reply. I find most water based lubricants and moisturizers are irritating for me. I felt discouraged when my oncologist suggested 10 years of armidex. I have had numerous Utis. I do everything possible to prevent them. My atrophy is bad. I have one more to go until I complete 5 years. I was put on actonel for my bones which may have led to my last uti. Anyone have the same problem

I have used "Replens moisturizer" successfully. It does not sting ( ph neutral), it has some parabens which is unfortunate, but it works. I also have used some Estradiol 0.01% vaginal cream during the time I was in letrozole. This was considered safe by my physicians, despite my having a estrogen sensitive breast cancer . I have been using these moisturizers even after I stopped Letrozole.

I tried to post the link for the "I want my mojo back" board, but it didnt work, - maybe you can find it anyway! It has many good suggestions for dryness!

I have the same problem and was hoping to find recommendations here. The suppositories I've tried haven't been working and I find Replens starts to irritate me with prolonged use.

Dear Cin17 I am sorry you're experiencing the same problem as me. I couldn't tolerate replens either. I had succes for two years with Moisture Pom, an oil based product. I was not sure if my last uti was caused by too long shelf life with the product or actonel. Right now I am using VMagic. My favourite is still Moisture Pom. I hope this was helpful
