How far you go in life depends on your being tender with the young,
compassionate with the aged, sympathetic with the striving,
and tolerant of the weak-because some day you will have been all of these...
~George Washington Carver -

your problems how big your God is!"

The aim of life is to live; and to live means to be aware, joyously, drunkenly, serenly, divenly aware...Henry Miller

Here's a mantra I learned a long time ago and it still works for me when I need to "grab" hold of something and quiet my fears and self.
Be Still and Listen and Know that I am God.
Be Still and Listen and Know that I am.
Be Still and Listen and Know.
Be Still and Listen.
Be Still.
Be.
Quiet and peaceful thoughts to all. Paula -
Thanks Paula--this would be a great mantra to use for meditation! Very calming. Thanks for sharing.

Patti,
I have been trying to live by this rule for the past few months. For me this has been a tough rule to live by....

Some people come into our lives and quickly go.
Some people move our souls to dance.
They awaken us to understanding with the passing whisper of their wisdom.
Some people make the sky more beautiful to gaze upon.
They stay in our lives for awhile; leave footprints on our hearts.

" Hope is the companion of power, and the mother of success; for who so hopes strongly, has within him the gift of miracles."

When I saw this quote this morning I thought of Kathy(Sprite)..She must feel like she is at the end of her rope....Hang on Kathy!!
When you get to the end of your rope, tie a knot and hang on.

When you come to the edge of
all the light you know, and are about to
step off into the darkness of the unknown, faith
is knowing one of two things will happen:
There will be something solid to stand
on or you will be taught how to fly...

Cherie I am making a copy of this one!! Great!! Thanks...........xoxo,Patti

You live longer
once you realize
that any time spent
being unhappy is wasted.
Ruth E. Renkl -
Boop, I have heard that quote before (When you get to the end of your rope...) but I never knew it was from F.D.R. That was one of my grandmother's favorite sayings.
Thanks for sharing.

You are a light!
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous ? Actually, who are you not to be ? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. You are born to make manifest the glory of God that is within you. It's not just in some of us, it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we're liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others."
---Nelson Mandella -
Persons thankful for little things
are certain to be the one with
much to be thankful for.
Frank Clark -
It isn't
for the moment
you are struck
that you need
courage
but for the long
uphill climb
back to sanity
and faith
and security.
Ann Morrow Lindberg

If you surrender completely to the moments as they pass, you live more richly those moments--Ann Morrow Lindberg--------------------Patti -
Prayer doesn't always change our situation,
but prayer will always change us!!...Author Unknown -
Finish each day and be done with it. You have done what you could. Some blunders and absurdities no doubt crept in; forget them as soon as you can. Tomorrow is a new day; begin it well and serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson- -
"When you get into a tight place and
everything goes against you until it seems that you cannot
hold on for a minute longer, never give up then, for that is
just the place and time that the tide will turn." ~ Harriet
Beecher Stowe. -
