  1. Afternoon every. I had a bilateral mastectomy April of 2017 and because of my health and complications I'm 2 yrs + with my original expanders. I finally got a date of July 29th but these lumps I've felt under both armpits have beem an on going problem I never shared it with any of my speciality docs until last week Wednesday. I'm terrified there are 2. 2 on righr and one on left under my armpits. I didn't have any nodes removed prior but mammogram nvr picked up the tomurs in my righr best but once they got to working on the left something made them look at the righr and sure enough one as large than most women breast is what they tell me. Now I was heavt top DDD/E46. They want to wait to I see my primary doc on the 18th fr my pre op exam fr surgery. I see my PS the following day the 19th and mimd you surgery the 29th. Now last time week and half I found another lump on my own that wasn't picked up but again I was righr another tumor. I dont well wasting 1 week to see my primary is a good idea. What if nodes hv to be taken out who does that, will there schedule match my PS seeimg so such notice? How long of hospital stay can I expect. Keep in mind the PS hasn't even been told of this discovery yet. Ima afraid and scared. They ask because of my anxiety dont look up anything til after my pre op physical on the 18th with my primary. But my armpits are huge. I cnt put my arms down my sides or comb my own arm or use anything but spray on deodorant because it hurts. A showers feels like torture and I already suffer RDS a central nerve condition agmoung other things.

    Hello Kay

Sorry to hear about all this!

I guess you've read or heard somewhere that not all lumps are cancer. They can be fibroids or fat cells, lipomas or...all of which are non-cancerous.

However, if it was me, I would make an appointment pronto with my primary care physician for an examination and a chat before your pre-op for hopefully reassurance.

    Best wishes

    Alice
