I’m sure this has been a topic before, but I can’t find anything. I was diagnosed in May 2019 with ILC, Stage IV, metastatic to my stomach. I’m ER+, PgR+, and Her2-. Is there anyone besides me who has only been on Ibrance and Letrozole, no chemotherapy, no surgery? I’ve only been on the medication for 11 days. Just curious. I’ve had three opinions, and they say this is my best course since it hasn’t spread to any other organs yet And because of my receptor status.

Hi KBL! I'm sorry you were diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer. I was diagnosed with bone and lung mets in April after a 24 year remission. Ibrance and letrozole are considering one of the first-line treatments for metastatic breast cancer, and we have an active Ibrance thread in the Stage 4 forum, where you will find plenty of people on this very treatment - some of them on it for several years now. I've just begun cycle three and I hope to be on it a long long time! How is going for you?

Thank you, Moomala. So far so good, even though it's only been 11 days. I hope the side effects stay very far away. It is always a concern to make sure we are getting the best treatment possible. I'm sorry you also have mets. I went straight to Stage IV because I never had any symptoms until last October. I will go back to the Stage IV portion and see if I can find out more. I really appreciate your response, and let's hope it will continue to work for all of us. I'm so grateful to not have to do chemo, but I always want to make sure I'm doing the right thing. I'm about to be a first-time grandmother, and I really want to be here for my family.
