July 2019 surgery support group
I am recovering from a lumpectomy and sentinel node surgery 2 days ago. I am stunned by the amount of deep purple bruising! The current plan is for rads, then medication. Node biopsy will determine chemo.
I do not want to be a part of this group! I suppose none of us are thrilled at this journey! I do not yet know if margins were clear, or how many nodes were removed or their status. Nurse said the Surgeon came in to talk to me afterward....But I have no memory of that! So, I can only wait for the follow-up appointment.

1959 Chevy- we'd all like to never have become a member of this club! But we're strong & fighters, and we've got each other's back.
My LX was 11/1/17, w reexcision on 11/14. I'm going on 2 years, but I remember no brusing. Along the was you'll see that everyone is different, some bruise some won't. Ice pack and rest, you'll probably get your pathology soon to solidify your treatment plan. Best wishes to you!
