Karen - I'm sorry to hear that. I'll keep them in my thoughts. Hope you are well and staying strong.

I added a good friend of mine as well, who has been stage VI for about 6 years. She's on a new clinical trial, but she's worried that she's running out of options, as the tumor in her bones seems to keep outsmarting everything they try. Hoping that the latest trial shows good results. She's been an amazing role model for me.

I'm just bumping this up in case anyone wants to be added or removed, or make any other changes. Wishing everyone a new year of good health.

Please remove my husband, Henry, from the list. Unfortunately, Henry passed away several months ago and I was too heartbroken to remember to take his name off the list.

I wish everybody here a healthy and happy New Year.

I will. I thought of that, but I knew how painful it would be. How have you been doing?

I had a CT scan today of my abdomen and looks like there is thickening on the stomach wall. I got the message while I was on the train so I didn't ask any questions, all I know that I am scheduled for an endoscopy this Friday afternoon.

I am too scared to think about it.

yes, it went well. It was scary when they called me with the abnormal ct scan result and had to wait for the endoscopy, but it was only inflammation of the lining of the stomach.

Glad it is over, but , of cause, the fear doesn't completely go away. How are you doing?

Doing well - had my MO appointment, and bloodwork is fine and she thinks I'm doing super. I just keep praying for continued good health. Glad to hear about the endoscopy results.

Good check up results are always a wonderful reason to celebrate. I don't think those outside the cancer community realize how stressful those check ups are. Happy your check up went well.

Thank you for your concern. I am on a new medication (since April, 2018) that is keeping the cancer under great control. Nodule has diminished and nothing new during the year I have been on the med. Unfortunately, resistance develops on average at 18 months (which I am approaching), though some have been on this med for years and continue to do well. I get a CT every 3 months. Next one is in a week............

    Hope you are doing well.......

I hope your last scan went well. I'll make sure you are on my Misheberach list. On a related matter, I just was accepted to the Cantorial program at the Academy of Jewish Religion in Yonkers. I am considering doing something with pastoral and chaplaincy work, but mostly I really enjoy leading services.

It's a little early, but wishing you a Healthy and Happy New Year.
