Port Placement Detailed Description from 2008 - Anything newer?

Anyone willing to do an updated post on Port Placement. The current one is from August 2008. It is well written and detailed, but it is 11 years old and I would welcome reading an updated version. It well could be that nothing has changed, but an a more current accounting would still be greatly appreciated. I'm certain I am not alone. I'd welcome reading something before I head in for port placement, but If nothing comes through I will try to post about my experience. Thanks.

That's pretty much how mine went with just some minor differences. For example, I was not given an EKG first and I did have the sedation. Also, I had to scrub down with some type of disinfectant wipes in the pre op area.
