Teva Shortage?

I've been on anastrozole (generic Armidex) since June '16. The first few months were terrible, but have been manageable the past few years when I switched and insisted on the Teva manufactured pills. Lately, there's been challenges getting it and finally this month I had to use another brand, Accord, and it's an issue (stomach cramps, mood swings, etc.)

Wondering if anyone else knows anything about this Teva shortage? If it's being resolved soon? And/or if there is somewhere else I could look to find some? I don't think I can make another month like this.

I have exactly the same problem. CVS, where I have been getting Teva -manufactured anastazole since 2011, had falsely claimed that Teva recalled its products. As a matter of fact, they had been ordered to take it off the shelves. Now they claim that it is not up to them what products they receive. When I called Teva, they told me that there was no recall but that they had temporary shortage and they are now resuming shipments. They were no help in letting me know which pharmacies carried it and told me to try getting it at Walgreens. For now, I'm stuck with
an almost 3-month supply of Accord- made anastazole.

I usually fill at CVS as well Antonia, and have been extremely lucky that my local pharmacist is the best. In the past, he's called around to other stores for me, even been able to give me a few pills to tide me over if they needed to be ordered from another store. But this time around, even he couldn't find any in time. To let you know, I did indeed call Walgreens and Target (both in Florida actually as I'm visiting family) and both to no avail, so it does seem to be more widespread than CVS - and also more widespread than NYC. Hopefully Teva is accurate that shipments will be resuming soon.

How are you doing on the Accord? I'm staring down 30 days and not sure I can make it - 90 days - ugh!

    - Tara.
