I was told by my radiation oncologist to put Polysporin ointment on my red spots after radiation. Now, I have vesicle filled red, extremely itchy rash that has spread over my entire breast. Saw the radiation doctor yesterday, and she said I am allergic to Polysporin, and gave me Benadryl pills each 25 mg to be taken 1- 2 tabs every 4-6 hours. The vesicles are leaking and some are scaly... Anyone experience Polysporin contact dermatitis?

stage 1, left breast ca. bilateral lumpectomy, radiation 16 treatments, still to start endocrine therapy, PR+/ER-/HER2-

I had that dermatits really bad. Nurse told me to get Cortesone cream. She then told me to apply corn starch on a brush on top of the cream. Helped greatly. No more itching. Mine is now healed and doesn't itch try it. Good luck

I am in awe of all these responses. No complaints. I had 17 treatments. I have redness, itch and bumps. I look horrible. My boob looks deformed after surgery. I am just angry about all of this, and maybe it’s not necessary. I don’t understand any of these long word creams role are using I hate my jelly she suggested , it ruins clothes. Some people say use cornstarch and some people say their dr. Said, no. I hate This way of life !!
