Any Pulmonary Sarcoidosis sisters?

I was just dx with pulmonary sarcoidosis after a lot of tests and through process of elimination. Obviously I'm thrilled it isn't looking like lung mets as originally suspected but am now wondering what's next. I've got an appointment with a specialist in July but in the meantime would loveto hear about other's experiences. Have you had symptoms? Are you doing any form of treatment? Did your drs think it was related to your breast cancer in anyway or a fully independent dx? Thank you!

    You can scroll down to another forum titled BC and Another Diagnosis to post this question there and/or do a search on terms like ‘sarcoid’ or sarcoidosis. For older discussions, you may want to send private messages if the member is no longer active on this site. Did you get this determination without biopsy?

    I am aware that treatment consists of oral and inhaled steroid medications. Hopefully your pulmonologist will order respiratory function tests as a baseline as well as periodic CT scans for comparison.
