Weaning off tamoxifen

I am finishing up five years of tamoxifen for DCIS and started taking every other day in anticipation of stopping gradually over next few weeks. I am premenopausal and thought this might be a challenge but I am only few days in with worst hot flashes I ever had. Any advise for things that helped make this transition would appreciated.

Congrats on successfully finishing your Tamoxifen!!! Instead of every other day, what about decreasing to 10mgs per day, to lower the expected dose that your body thinks it is getting. Then move that down to 5mgs and then go every other day.

There are towels for the neck that builders and outdoor adventurists use, that are for cooling. Maybe something like that would help?

thank you for advice. Thought about cutting in half and will try if every other day doesn't work well. I am due to get off and really need as have had worsening endometrial issues, just trying to make more tolerable. Doesn't help I live in SW Florida! Noticed I am more sensitive after hot coffee so trying to watch that, too
