i'm 20 years old and i'm worried out of my mind! i've always been super weird about my breast. scared. a couple years ago my aunt got diagnosed with breast cancer and it was one of the most scariest things and it made my fear worse. she took a genetic test and it wasn't genetic. my aunt since is fine she's healthy now. about a week ago i noticed a small i think it's a lump under my right breast kinda on top of my ribs and i was completely terrified i made an appointment at planned parenthood for a breast exam because i don't have insurance and it's a great place for cheap or free. i went in today and the doctor checked me out and said she couldn't feel anything. i showed her where and she said i was completly fine. i took it and i left. but i got home and i could still feel it. i'm scared and confused on why she didn't feel it, is it all in my head? what do i do now? i have no idea what other doctor to go see. i'm freaking out bc i started reading things online of people who were told that they were fine and then their cancer got worse. i'm just confused on what now

I would call back and say you can still feel a definite lump. Ask for a more thorough exam if you can feel it they should too.

How big does the lump feel? How deep does the lump feel?

Did the doctor say they didn't feel anything or did they feel it and say "that's nothing" or similar phrase?

The next step would be an ultrasound to see what it is you are feeling.

it's just such a weird thing! so this morning i woke up and i can't feel it. it's not the first time tho throughout the day i can feel it more. it's also hard to explain but it feels like maybe a pea size but not a complete circle. i can only feel it if i'm going from right to left. and if feels like it’s pretty deep, definitely not on the surface but i have no dimpling or anything like that

the doctor said she didn't feel anything, i would put her finger where i felt it but she didn't feel anything. i'm not sure if maybe she felt what i was talking about but she didn't think it was a lump or she just didn't feel anything at all. she said it could be my bra?

I agree it is worth an ultrasound. Usually with a family history they like to make sure.
