Thanks Jacee! 6 years really went by fast considering how slow and never ending things felt back then!

I've had many people close to me come up with cancer in the last couple years so the geneticist thought I needed tested but all is well I hope everyone else is well that was in this forum it's been almost 7 years congratulations to us. Hey Stef, I too had genetic testing done recently and it was also negative! Yay us! I had a melanoma raise it's hand, on my back; Had to have second surgery due to margins! All better now they say. It is a puzzle to me. My step-mom has had moles burned, cut, frozen off for years due to basal cell, but has never had a melanoma. This was my 1st foray into mole removal of any kind and I ended up with the M! Life is weird! And is my counter off? I thought we were having an 8 year observation!

Hey girls!! My genetic testing was done at the time of diagnosis...negative, too! Great to hear from y'all ! All is well here. Needing to lose weight. I suppose I will be fatigued forever! Joni, so glad you caught the melanoma in time. I've had many miles removed over the years. One was basal cell. Our generation didn't use much sunscreen in the early years!! And yes, we are approaching 8 years since diagnosis! Hugs...Joni

I began chemo on July 13, 2009. So long ago, but in some ways, just yesterday!
