Anxiety with waiting

So i'm hoping i'm worrying for nothing but i'm scared and i guess just trying to get through the waiting to start.

I'm not sure how fast is fast for IBC so i'm not sure if that will help but the first time I had a problem was about 3 months ago, i had a large hive about the size of my palm and on my nipple, it was red, raised very tender, and there was an accompanying pain on the other side of my breast closer to my armpit. Now i have sensitive skin and autoimmune issues that can cause weird things sometimes so I first assumed it was just a reaction. After the 3rd day it started calming down and by about day 5-6 it was gone. Then about a month later it happened again but milder, exact same spot and size, I thought maybe whatever bugged me still was bugging me. Then about 3 weeks later it happened a third time bad like the first, again exact same spot and size, the doctor has sent me for mammogram . So I've already been nervous while i was waiting for that.

My mammogram was yesterday and they did an ultrasound right after (though i've read an ultrasound after your first mammogram is fairly common so that in itself didn't worry me too much) and told me my doctor would have the results in about 3 days. Know i'd be anxious i did book an appointment with my doctor as soon after that i could well before my mammogram. Now my doctor's office doesn't USUALLY call when there's nothing going on (I still haven't heard anything about my wrist x-ray from weeks ago for example).

What's really scaring me now is that today (one day after my mammogram and ultrasound) My doctor's office has called to tell me to come in for my test results (they didn't realize i'd already booked in for tuesday in advance) and were trying to get me in next week for results with another doctor because mine is away until I told them i'd already made an appointment. I'm scared that hearing so quickly and being called in (which they usually only do when something is abnormal) means something, but i'm trying to stay calm and keep in mind it could be something else too that would be more benign but abnormal.... but naturally my mind won't calm so I guess I just am sharing my fears.

Anyway thanks for your time and hoping for something positive not scary on tuesday here.

Here is some information on IBC.

Symptoms of IBC do not come and go and yours may not be related to the call from your doctor's office. Can you post the reports of your recent imaging studies?

    Hi Djmammo,

I wasn't sure if it could come and go at all with IBC so if it doesn't that's promising thank you! Where i live we don't get our own reports (unless it's a regular screening then it looks like you get it in the mail from what I see, i'm not yet screening age) , they go to our doctor (the appointment tuesday) who goes over it. So I guess it's just a matter of waiting at this point.

Thank you for your response, i'll update once i know more if that's ok? I'm not sure what else could cause my symptoms, but will just try to be calm and distracted as much as I can while waiting to learn more

Sorry the doctor's office specifically said it was re: the breast imaging from the day before I may have missed that, tired.
