Tamoxifen 10 mg instead of 20 mg

Just wondering if anyone is taking 10 mg of Tamoxifen instead of 20. Two years ago I was taking tamoxifen but had to get off after a month due to the side effects. I stayed for a month a d tired kt again with the sameness horrible side effects . I even tried different pharmaceuticals . My oncologist wanted me to try it again mow that I am on an anti depressant. She put me on 10 mg but wants me to move up to 20 mg once I have been on it a month. I already have some side effects. Wondering if anyone is in the same boat ?

    No I haven’t but I took Tamoxifen for 4 years. Started out on Arimidex. I was switched because Arimidex attacks the bones and I had osteopenia. I did have joint pain and difficulty concentrating but other than that it was manageable.

    Ask your oncologist if he can switch you to another drug that might have more tolerable side effects. There’s such a thing as quality of life.
