A Major Milestone!!!!
I did it !!!
14 years ago when I was diagnosed @ stage 3C and then Mets 3 years later I told my oncologist I wanted to live long enough to see my sons graduate high school.
My twin sons graduated last week. They made time capsules in 6th grade and I wrote them heartfelt notes that I might not be with them on that day. They read them two days before graduation. I was there.
There is hope... I have been on so many meds and never NED. But I am still here.
Here are my sons who had just turned 4 when I was first diagnosed. It hasn't been easy... I have had the time of
My life watching them grow up!!!

How wonderful !!! And what nice-looking young men. Thanks for posting the picture.

Huzzah, Fitz!!! Congratulations, relax and enjoy their exciting college days!!
Its wonderful to be able to give them the space to focus on their lives, friends and plans, without having to worry about us. I love having the stable (boring, even!) nest that my kids can drift in and out of, as they launch their lives as young adults

That is beautiful, Fitz. And meaningful for those with young children. My daughter graduates next week from HS .... wasn't sure I would be here for that, so I appreciate your major Milestone news more than you can know. Now set your next goal and make that too!

I aspire to be you! My daughter was 18 months at stage II diagnosis and 5 at stage IV and want so badly to raise her and be there at her high school graduation. I appreciate the quality of life I have enjoyed upmto this point already as she is 7 now but want so much to be there for her as I am a single mom and I feel that all memories of her as a baby and kid will be lost (I make shutterfly books but only so much you can impart there). I am so happy you posted this! Congratulations and I love the time capsule idea - I am so doing that. Many manymore years for you fitztwins!
