Sharp pain in left breast

For the past few weeks I’ve had sharp pain in my left breast, that comes and goes. At first I thought I pulled a muscle or heart problems. I had 3D mammogram the other day, and will have a diagnostic mammogram and ultrasound on Monday. All the breast care center told me was changes since my last mammogram. I can’t feel any lumps in breast, breast is significantly larger then my right. I’m also having pain up to collar bone with occipital lymph node swollen on left side, tired and no appetite. I’m very scared. Could this be a cyst or possibly cancer

    Hi Seamha1795. Welcome to BCO. No way to know...all you can do is wait for the further testing and see what they say. We are all here if you have questions, and know that if it turns out to be something scary, you can and will get through it. Hopefully it won't come to that though and it's something else random. I had bad chest pain once that turned out to be acid reflux. Scares the daylights out of you though.

    Hi Lmjohn, so sorry to hear this. I was diagnosed with ductal ectasia in my left breast. My pain is about the same, just comes and goes. I have also started having a dark brown discharge from both breast. I had an appointment scheduled for the discharge, but my son got sick and I had to reschedule after the holidays. I did go in for a prolactin level, that was normal. Last night I did discover a small lump in my right breast. Right breast was clear with mammogram but since that one has discharge I’m getting scared. You need to call your doctor and get it checked out. Please keep me updated.     Seamha1795,I hope you are doing well and finding good treatment for your ductal ectasia. Do you mind if I ask, what did you learn about your swollen occipital lymph nodes?
