Wednesday Weigh In

Well I lost 3 lbs since last week. No salt, very reduced calorie intake, eating my meal of kitchari twice a day, and adding in a few scoops of almond butter. I’m hungry but committed.
Good job for showing up here and keeping track! Heidi I’m glad your onc is a weight watcher. I’m not sure what mine does, though once when I had to stay wait very long for my appointment he sent me home with a cannoli!
-
I've been on holiday in NYC and then Miami. There has been a lot of food over the last two weeks. I've had a really great time but am actually looking forward to going hom tomorrow, and doing a mini detox and gym regime for a couple of weeks. I have not weighed myself, but I can feel it is up up up.
-
Four weeks now the same...this new normal for me needs a break as it is 4 lbs over my old normal...TT
-
Back from our RV trip and beginning to get settled in to our home again. I rejoined Weight watchers, this time online, and yesterday was my first weigh in - 145.5 - which really is not bad for my 3 months away, and only 5.5 away from my goal. But I have the feeling it's going to be a hard 5.5 for me. To make things worse, our local supermarket (and the only one in town) is on strike, so we have to travel 20-30 minutes to grocery shop. But we do it, because the grocery is really being unfair to employees with cutting of benefits.
-
Gee Heidi, ur onc watches ur weight, that’s good encouragement! I’m on my fifth onc and not one has brought it up with me. I actually had a registrar tell me after chemo put me into menopause then post menopause in a matter of months, that I wouldn’t be able to lose it now, can u believe it??? That’s how I started low carb. I commented to my current onc that I was fat and she said I was too hard on myself! Encouragement from her to lose would be more helpful.
Well I’ve lost another 2 kg (BMI 31.5) and the 30 day challenge finishes tomorrow. I’ve had alcohol once. I feel exactly the same level of pain (advanced arthritis in feet and ankles) and physical discomfort (fat tummy in the way, hot flashes/sweating, joint stiffness) which I’m disappointed about. I guess anther 4.5kg might make a difference? It’s Easter and I made low carb Rocky Road which is acceptable to eat. But I bought my parents an egg/rabbit each for tomorrow, Mum’s is Turkish Delight - and actually bigger than I intended, couldn’t find a smaller one - and I’m worried I may succumb 🙁. But I’ve avoided the hot cross buns I’m pleased to say 😄. Congratulations to all the losers and levellers, enjoy Easter all, it’s only once a year, lol.

hi Everyone- I gained a pound back, so like many of you, still 5 lbs from my goal. Ugh those are hard to shed!
Bella Tassie I think it’s ok to have goals but not to beat yourself up over not meeting them right away! Maybe that’s what your onc meant.
-
Down 1.5 to 144 this morning, 4 more til goal. It will be the hardest 4 I'm sure! Also adding back in exercise, which I'm hoping will help with the shape of my body.
-
I haven't posted in quite sometime. Life has just been super busy. My current situation is food poisoning! I just left the acute care center and after hours of violently puking and several rounds of diarrhea I have lost 6 pounds. Not the way I wanted to lose what I gained over the past month...i feel like crap I have never in my entire life been this sick!
-
Oh no! I had food poisoning once, and it was brutal! Hang in there, Varga.
-
Varga - I’ve had food poisoning too. Never been so sick in my life. I made a trip to the ER where they pumped fluids in me. So sorry. I truly feel your pain.
Diane
-
I had it too in high school. Mom wanted to take me to the doctor but I was too sick to stand up. Feel better soon.
-
Thanks Ladies! The nausea is under control but this massive head ache can go! The doctor wanted to do IV fluids but I declined. It would have taken a hour and my girl was home with DH. I didn't even get her dressed yesterday! She wore her pjs all day! We are supposed to volunteer at a Women's Bible Study today but I dont feel like I can.🤒
-
Listen to your body, Varga. Otherwise it will take even longer to recover.
-
I had to go back to the doctor yesterday. I have a bacterial sinus infection from all the throwing up. I am down to 139. My goal has been 135 or under. NOT how I wanted to get there.
-
Argh, not the way you want to lose weight at all.
I'm down a little from my vacationing, but not at all where I should be. Too much corner cutting going on by yours truly.
-
Well May 1st same as April 1st...but still a few pounds over where I should be.
My Jan 1 goal for 2019 was to lose 7 lbs...and somehow I have gotten 3 glued on to me!
In finals at school,so hectic this week and next, but then will take a two week break to our family beach cottage. Usually get a good deal of exercise there between walking the beach and the lovely yoga/pilates studio in the village. Hope this makes a good break from bad winter habits and the start of an active summer.
Happy May to all, TT
-
Oh Varga I’m so sorry to hear about your illnesses.
I’m the same, which is the same five pounds I want to shed. Or six pounds. I have cut back significantly on my portions and cut out snacking. Ughhh
-
Down 1...still 3 more then when I was last at the Dr and I go back in 3 weeks...maybe that will keep me moving forward! Graduation weekend at my school this weekend plus Happy Mother's Day to all. TT
-
Down 1.5......trying to be good with so-so success. I have a doctor's appointment tomorrow, do you suppose I can lose 5 more pounds by then?
-
Holding steady at 139. I might make my goal of 135 before my next MO appointment! Happy Mother's Day!
-
Congratulations to losers!
-
You guys are doing so great! I am not... and it is my own fault, I fell off the weight watchers wagon (mind you I have only been restarted for a month!). Lobster rolls, big mothers day dinner, cocktails, dessert, etc. I partly blame the horrible rainy cold weather the Northeast has had, causing me to self medicate with wine and comfort snacks. So no surprise I am up 2.5 lbs to 146.5 this morning. My goal is 140, but these are the most stubborn pounds to get off. So I'm back at it today, even though tomorrow we leave for a few days away.
-
You will get there Pat! Sometimes ya" just need a little comfort food!
I'm still bouncing between 138-140. My stomach is still so sensitive! I have always had a gut of steel so this is very different for me. I have to admit I'm loving the weight loss just not the method!
-
down 1 on Wednesday...up one on Thursday
-
down half a pound.....still being totally unserious......
-
I’m doing so badly. I’ve added fourteen pounds in 2 months. But I’m down 1 today so hoping to reverse course decisively.
-
I'm doing badly, too, Scotbird. Dropping out of WW hasn't been a good thing. My weight is at its highest ever but I am resolved to drop the added and unneeded pounds. I haven't decided whether I will go back to WW or just follow healthy eating guidelines on my own. I should probably cut out alcohol but I so enjoy my before-dinner cocktail and/or wine. I'm not an alcoholic but I am a habitual drinker. Resisting dessert food is easy for me, but come 5 pm, I look forward to a vodka martini.
-
I am up 2 pounds. I spent the weekend in Charleston with one of my best friends. I had ice cream and a delicious piece of carrot cake! The we had the family over for a Memorial Day feast. I will get back on track this week!
-
Down 1 this week - small improvement at last! X
-
I will be weighing on the scale at the Anytime Fitness gym where we exercise during the summer in northern MN. Yesterday I was 172. I don't think I will rejoin WW but I am trying to follow WW guidelines in my food choices and portion sizes. My goal is still 160 or lower.
