Call back after being told everything is ok

I had a diagnostic mammogram/sonogram yesterday as a follow up to an area on my left breast they were watching. When it was finished, the radiologist said everything looked good. Today I got a call from the same radiologist telling me to come in again because there was a small area they didnt get a good picture of. They did another mammogram and sonogram and I was told there is a tiny nodule (around 5mm) on the outer part of my left breast and they want to biopsy it. They saw how upset I was so they scheduled me for the sonogram guided biopsy tomorrow. I am so upset by this as I was so relieved when I was told yesterday everything was ok and this call back came out of nowhere. They assured me that because the nodule is so tiny that even if it turns out to be cancerous it was found very early.

    sorry to hear this. The waiting is the worst but I am glad that you will get the biopsy quickly. Keep us posted. Many of us have been where you are...try to keep yourself distracted with work, a movie or something to pass the time...it won't be easy to wait but you will know more soon.
