Second surgery coming up

I had a double mastectomy with skin and nipple spared on February 14, 2019. It has been a long journey of pain, adjustment, mental heath, and so many emotions. I feel back normal. I can do many things again and it has been a hard road of recuperacion. I have expanders and they are hard and hard to sleep with. But, my second surgery is in two weeks and am sad. Sad that I have to go back to point A again. Am not sure if am the only one that feels this way. Is just hard! Via

    Maybe one way to look at it is, not going back to point A, but moving closer to “done! I hope this second surgery is easier for you, and you are feeling better soon

    Thursday I have a second surgery as well, just three weeks after an operation from a unilateral MX and a left sided lift.

    Due to skin sparing reconstruction, I havean area that isn’t healing well. So they have to go in and cut the skin and put in a smaller implant.

    I am sad. I’m finally making ground in my recovery and in less than two days, I am going to have a lot of that recovery taken away and must begin again.

    The operation is over an hour with anesthesia and intubation again. It will take a bit to recover from that and I’m already recovering! So I know how you feel.

    Sadly, this is my daughter’s wedding season and I have no idea how I’m going to feel for the shower and the wedding. I’m pretty sad today.

    I will pray for you!! Tomorrow is my surgery and am sad and I don't want to have it! But, God got both of us and he will help us raise again! It's just hard to believe it! But, he will!

    You will be present at your daughter wedding and lets face it we are doing all this surgery and treatment to have a future and be at all the life events for our kids!


    We got this!we can do this!! As hard as that sound and even when we are sad and don't want surgery we are strong women!!! We can do this! Will have you in my prayers!!
