Hope from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints

Good to read your post, Felicia, and know that your faith in Jesus Christ sustains you. I agree--getting through any trial without Him, knowing that he completely understands and has experienced all our pains and sorrows, would be soooooo much harder. I just went to the temple today and feel recharged, spiritually, and anxious to do better in my scripture study, prayers and ministering to others. Blessings of better health to you, Felicia, and for your troubled heart to be calmed through your trials.

A friend sent me this video that gives me hope when things look bleak. I love Elder Holland's encouraging words at the end of the video:

"Don't you quit. You keep walking. You keep trying. There is help and happiness ahead. Some blessings come soon. Some come late. And some don't come till Heaven. But for those who embrace the Gospel of Jesus Christ, they come. It will be alright in the end. Trust God, and believe in good things to come!"

Met our 12th grandchild while visiting in Idaho for our youngest son's graduation from BYU. She was blessed in church that same weekend--what wonderful events to attend!

So sorry about your past situation, Marie, but really happy to hear of your re-connecting with your parish! Friends and clergy who share your faith are precious blessings Hope you enjoyed a lovely Mother's Day, too! I spent mine with my parents, going to church with them and then a wonderful lunch at their little home--my childhood home--with my brother's family, my sister visiting from out of state, and one of her daughters with her husband and children. It was a perfect day!

Here's a video of my 88 yr-old dad and 83 yr-old mom accompanying him as she's done for the last 63 years. He sang this at church, but I recorded it later in their home. So glad I did! Hope you enjoy this old-time, family favorite song about mothers...
