Hi there! Only thing I know about him is that he's the only plastic surgeon that the first breast surgeon I saw would work with. After my diagnosis I consulted with this particular breast surgeon and was all set to move forward with him. Went through MRI and further testing and then his office gives me Dr.Addona's name and says you need to schedule an appointment with him. I called his office and he didn't take my insurance. I said ok I have to find someone else. His office actually said to me well you should just go with him and we'll set up a payment plan. I said I have perfectly good health insurance so no thank you. I called
the breast surgeons office and explained to the assistant that Addona doesn't take my insurance so I'm going to find another plastic surgeon and she actually said to me well
he's the only one Dr so and so will work with so you should pay out of pocket then. Red flag galore and proceeded to find another breast surgeon and plastic surgery group and best decision I made. Just annoyed that I wasted time with first surgeons shenanigans. Plastic surgery group I used was Aesthetic Plastic Surgery in Great Neck. My doctor is Dr Light and is great. I've heard wonderful things about Dr Israeli and Dr Feingold as well. Best of Luck inyour decision. Dr Addona could be great too but this was just my experience.

Sorry, never heard of him. my surgeon recommended Dr. Mark Smith< I met him and I really liked him. Don't feel pressured to use a particular dr. because your dr. may recommend them. You want to feel comfortable with them. If you do great, if not..find someone you do.
Wow Leesa, glad you didn't feel pressured and found new dr's. It's hard when we are shell shocked from the diagnosis and everyone throws different things at you. You can easily just go along because we are in a daze.
Let us know how it goes Ja.

I used his office, Dr. Kilgo, but not him specifically. Had my surgery in January and still going through chemo but I was pleased with their office and Dr. Kilgo. I used Dr. Marie Chen as my BS and was very happy with her as well. (She's in NEw Hyde Park)
I met with Dr. Mark Smith and although he is highly qualified, he was very busy and I could not wait. Also I didn't feel the warm and fuzzies like I did with other doctors. But like was stated above, you have to make your own decision and not feel pressured to use anyone.

I met with Dr Addona as well as Dr Chen. I was very impressed with both of them and I liked them a lot. I have decided to use them for my surgeries. Ive seen a few Dr’s through this hole process and couldn’t find the right match for me if that makes sense. But I liked them a lot so did my husband. I’m justwaiting for my surgery date.
