Tamoxifen & Surgery

I'm so frustrated. I am scheduled to have my allergen 410's out next Thursday, May 16th. My PS wants me to stop Tamoxifen now due to the risk of blood clots. My MO does not want me to stop it, he says the risk of blood clot is low. I feel so conflicted. It scares me to be without Tamoxifen, but blood clots scare me too....maybe more. A year ago I had an emergency appendectomy and could not come off Tamoxifen and I did ok....anyone out there have experience with this?? Thank you...I'm feeling so anxious.

As someone who has experienced a blood clot after my revision surgery, I am leaning toward stopping it. My Plastic surgeon said I could start Tamoxifen again 4 days after surgery and I had a DVT that went to my lungs 4 days later. I did have a narrowed iliac vein (May-Thurner syndrome) but I think waiting to restart the Tamoxifen until I could take my daily aspirin again would have been a better idea. I wa so paranoid about skipping any days that I listened to the plastic surgeon against my gut feeling that it was too soon.

Peregrine lady, how long before your revision surgery did your PS have you stop Tamoxifen? Also did he give you blood thinners like shots in the stomach or anything?
