Area of concern-6month follow up

I had a diagnostic mamo and sono, received a letter stating area of concern come back in six months. I freaked outof course, my sister was diagnosed with cancer at 45 ten years ago. I am now 52. Had an MRI done as I requested one and spoke to breast surgeon. MRI came back exactly with the same area of concern letter. Surgeon looked over all results and gave me some peace of mind that results look benign. But keep 6 month follow up of course. I am still anxious and will be for another six months. Anyone have similar situation?

    I have had both a mammo & Ultra sound every six months for the the past two years. Not sure why they just don’t do a biopsy, I know they say it’s probably benign but still. Have two more mammo’s n US they said. Then they will known for sure that’s it’s hasn’t changed

    I did for years in my right breast. Nothing has ever shown up on my right side but was diagnosed with IDC stage 2 in my left breast in 2012. I'm metastatic now since 2017 but both breast are clear on every scan every 4 months. Yours may never turn into anything. I would be vigilant like doctors sayand move forward.
