Anxiety about possible reoccurrence - lump and various pains

Options

Well here we go again.....I was diagnosed in 2016 and thought I was finally moving on from constantly having breast cancer on my mind. I felt good and felt almost like my old self, it had taken me a long time to get to this point.

These past 2 weeks I have had a lot of discomfort in one my right ribs along with my right hip and have found a pea sized painful lump in my right upper breast almost in the armpit area. Needless to say I am super anxious. I know I will have to go to see my doctor and know there will be more tests and I just am so very anxious, not sure I can cope with all the stress and anxiety. Trying to stay positive but feel the dark clouds now looming. Just want to feel well and free of all this. Feels good though to be able to say it all here, it certainly gives me some relief from my thoughts.

Still trying to work out how to add to my diagnosis on my profile......had an area of focal LVI and also my oncotype was 7.

Olive4 --- did you also have a lumpectomy? I did and I do know that all the tests will go on forever. Not looking forward to that -- but still glad I had the lumpectomy. Does your lump feel hard? Mine did. It may be just a quick ultrasound and biopsy and you will find out that it's benign. That's probably what it will be, but the stress beforehand is unbearable. I also have right side rib pain that comes and goes, but I had it before cancer. Your cancer was so small and pretty low grade --- you're probably fine. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

Jeasie123 - Yes I had a lumpectomy. The lump feels hard and it’s tender, about the size of a pea. Thanks for your reply, terrible that we all have to go through all of this

Olive- I just wanted to say I am sorry you are having pain and a worrisome lump. I understand your anxiety, I hope they can get you in for imaging quickly. Maybe ask for something for the anxiety while you wait. It really does suck that we have to go through all this. Sending good thoughts to you as you wait for answers.

Do get in to be seen quickly, and ask for some Ativan if you need some. Waiting is very hard.
