Sore and swollen lymph node in throat after completed radiation

Options

Not sure if it could be related, its not even on the same side as the radiated breast. But i just completed radiation last Wednesday(April 9) so figured id ask. Its the type of swollen lymph node in my thraot you'd get if you had a really bad cold and sore throat, but I dont have a cold. Of course I'm letting my mind go to the dark place and my imagination is beginning to run wild. I scheduled a dr Appt with my primary but can't get in till tomorrow. Should I let my oncologist know about it as well? the node also hurts when I take a deep swallow. Just wanted to thank you all in advance, I dont know what I would do without you alls advice and words of encouragement.

Toyamjj, I'm dealing with something similar. Telling your oncologist about it isn't a bad idea -- better to be on safe side.

It's been a couple weeks since you posted this. How did things work out for you?

I want and saw my primary care doc, I didn't think of mentioning it to my oncologist though. My dr felt it and said that its a good thing that its sore and that he'd be more concerned if it was swollen without any pain and that it should go away in a few days and it did. He didn't think it was related to anything serious and since it did go away I didn't really given it anymore thought.

Thanks for checking in on me!
