Payment!

I was recently diagnosed for HR2 breast cancer.

To start chemo 12 weekly treatments withTaxol, and Herceptin for 12 months.

Persupport of the research with my financial advisor, provided by my cancer center, the cold cap therapy is 100% covered as Durable Medical Equipment (DME) per Medicare under Part B.My current designated provider, Penguin, does 'Not know' and does not want to know about Medicare coverage. It's cash up front $300 for something that is covered by my insurance.

I am training my friend to give the treatment, which would also be an ADDITIONAL $300.

Are any DME providers for cold cap therapy credentialed with Medicare?

I'm a nurse case manager, have worked in managed care with 2 Medicare insurance companies.

I can't afford to pay private pay for something that is 100% covered by my insurance.

The DME codes for cold cap coverage are E1339 and A9273 (ice cold cap wrap)

Can someone help me????
