I have 37 more days of arimidex after 5 years. Wonder if people would tell me how I am going to feel. I know the pill raised my cholesterol, lowered my Hct, raised my blood sugar, gave me hand cramps, aches and pains , gave me insomnia ,lowered my finger dexterity and gave me heartburn. Hope these things are reversible.

I found the changes were subtle but real, and one day I felt 'lighter'.....I can't really describe it, but I really felt like myself again in a way I hadn't before. I didn't have major issues while taking it, so if you did, I imagine you'll feel even better.

I have one year to go on Aromasin - if I hold to 5 years total. My fantasy is that I will get rid of some of this fatigue that dogs me!

Wow, no posting for 2 years until you popped up Sybil34. Ruthbru, you and I posted at the same time and I saw you yesterday having posted on the sad memorial site.

As for life after anastrozole, the Aromatase Inhibitor I started March 25, 2013, ended August 22, 2017. 4.5 years. I had always told my MO that at 5 years, I would stop. She would always say, let's wait and see Marian. Your cancer was ver aggressive blah blah. Well, I was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer in August 2017 so I never got to the magic 5 years.

It's been roughly 9 months since I stopped, and there is NO improvement whatsoever. Discouraging to say the least. Now the depression is setting in.

Jennie, it took along time for my joint pain to get better. Still after 3 yrs have lingering pain. On the other hand, my severe dry eye was better in a matter of a couple weeks.

But the pain is nothing like it was just a little annoying when lying down.

Well I guess so, it is uncomfortable at night trying to sleep. I don't notice any pain during the day.

Hi, just read your post about finishing arimidex. Did life go back to normal? I have 18 months to go and am counting the days! I have all the side affects you did.

I have been on Anastrozole for 4.5 years. I had been taking the Apotex manufactured pill, w/o many side effects! This company no longer supplies the drug which was manufactured in Canada..

I have been taking one now for about a month that is manufactured in India, which is horrible with many SE!!

Can anyone recommend or does anyone know of an Anastrozole manufactured in Canada or the US
