Thank you for facility staff??

Hello ladies. I'm thinking of getting something as a thank you to the staff at the cancer center where I've been getting my treatments. Wondering if anyone else has done or is planning to do this and if so what did you do?? I'm thinking of getting them some Lindt chocolates and some flowers.

    I've always taken in cupcakes for my "last". I think flowers are lovely too. I actually asked recently at my treatment center--there's one volunteer I wanted to do something special for and the receptionist said what is really treasured is personal notes. She said she's saved every one she's ever gotten. This might not be possible for the whole staff, but if there's anyone in particular you want to single out, I know it would be appreciated.

    My husband and daughter brought in pink roses and cupcakes for my last chemo.  I also wrote a personal thank you note to the Urgent Care nurse who originally saw me when I found a lump, but could not get a doctor apt.  She advocated for me and got me to see a breast surgeon the next day.

    I did this for my radiation techs, who were STELLAR. I had 6 of them who rotated, all young, funny and lively. Their nickname for me at the Rads center was "Calffornia" (I was getting Rads in New Jersey). I brought a case of California wines and they LOVED it.

    I'm thinking about bagels or muffins. The nurse was laughing bc one of her coworkers was at lunch at 4 p.m. that seemed sad.

    For chemo I didn't do anything. There are about 40 infusion chairs in my clinic and probably 60 nurses to care for them. There were probably 15-20 who worked directly with me over 4 successful infusions and 2 fails. (The fails pulled in lots of people!) I didn't see any way to provide a treat for a few of them but not all of them, not to mention the aides and volunteers.

    For radiation it's a smaller crew but still plenty. Also there is the valet parking crew, which makes treatment so much easier. Still LOTS of people involved.

    But I decided to buy individually wrapped nut packets. I'll take those on Tuesday when I have my last rads treatment.
