so about 3 months ago both of my breasts started hurting (swelling, very tender/sore) out of nowhere for the first time since I started my birth control 2 years ago. Both were hurting about 5 days after my period until 2 days before every month. I thought I was pregnant for sure ( I also was getting acne for the first time since my bc and nausea) but took 4 pregnancy tests and went to the doctors to get one with all of them negative. About two weeks ago I realized if I wore a bra for the most part it didnt hurt that bad. As of yesterday my left breast started having shooting sharp pains right under my nipple. So I am really worried about what's wrong with me. And I'm hoping it's nothing serious but I'm scared.

I do not want to scare you, so please don't freak out, but my issues started with a "pinging" feeling, like shooting sharp pains, in my right breast, and that's where the tumor was. I waited way too long to look into it. I would definitely ask for a mammogram and/or an ultrasound if you have dense breasts, Just to be sure for your peace of mind.

I just had a lumpectomy in my right breast, but my left breast has been having shooting pains for a while. It has been mammogrammed, ultrasounded and MRI’ed with no findings. I am post- menopause. Any thoughts on this are appreciated. Good luck to you all!

the only reason I havent gotten it checked out yet is because I've had pain in both breasts which from what I've seen doesnt usually correlate with breast cancer also the pain has stopped.
