novagirl congrats on your recent scans (saw in another thread)!!

I have been on Lexapro and very very grateful for this medication.

Which side effects are you wary of? I know a lot of folks get worried about the lowered libido. I wish I could speak for this but I think losing my sex drive was part of my body’s signals that I was sick with MBC. I used to have an incredibly high libido and it disappeared about 4 years prior to my diagnosis. I thought it was a phase, but now I know it was/is def hormone and cancer-related. I am on such a slew of meds that cause low libido that I have no clue what is doing what at this point 🤷🏽♀️ Lupron, letrozole, Lexapro (all the L drugs!)

I wonder about how are the side effects of trazadone for you? Just curious! I think I’ve bears it can cause dizziness and dry mouth?

Hi ichangedmynane, thank you for the well wishes about my scans! That seems like 10 days ago for some reason but it was yesterday.

With lexapro (or any antidepressants) I’m worried about weight gain (extra estrogen), feeling even more tired during the day, sleep problems and I guess fear of the unknown.

My script is for 50 mg for trazadone and I cut it in half. I don’t have dry mouth or dizziness. I take it at night with melatonin. In the beginning it caused a stuffy nose which was so weird to have that side effect. It was always gone in the morning.

I like how you warned in another thread about taking supplements without knowing what you are doing. I’m trying not to be guilty of that but boy the urge is there! It’s different now that I’m stage IV. I’m scared of things interacting. I was taking curcumin with the Ibrance because I didn’t know you weren’t supposed to
