I am hormone negative, Her2 positive. My period stopped after I began TCHP in 2017. i fnished chemo in Dec 2017 and continued with H&P until Sep 2018. My period returned last week (I hope this is what it is). I am 46 yo. Anyone else in a similar situation?

My period stopped during my first month of AC chemo in September 2017. 16 months later,January 2019, I got my period - lighter than usual, but 5 days with cramps, etc. I have not had another one since, so almost 4 months. I will turn 47 in a couple weeks

Thank you, VL! So it may happen. I wasn't sure what to make out of it.

LOL - my periods stopped during my AC chemo and I hoped, as I was 56, that was the end of them.

Nope, finished chemo in February 2007. Period was back at the end of May 2007.

My oncologist just laughed and told me I had cast iron ovaries.

    That is unusual for sure!

For me it is a bit more complicated. It did not return this month so my Gyn doc ordered an FSH blood test, which showed I am in menopause. So now I have an ultrasound scheduled this week to see what is going on there.

DATNY- I did not have chemo, nor any period showing up. But I'm on Anastrozole and spotting. I had my yearly pap, and it was quite bloody. She took multiple cultures, all negative. When she did an internal she pressed on my cervix, asking if I had any pain; none. She showed me her glove, bloody also. So I too am getting an internal ultrasound- to see what's going on down there. My US is tomorrow at 11.

Good luck with yours. Keep us posted, and I'll let you know how mine goes.

Update: uterine wall came back thicker than normal at ultrasound. Biopsy followed but everything looked normal. So maybe it was a single ovulation event. I am having ultrasound in six months for follow up.
