Hi all,

I did my mamo and radiology report shows two parts have microcalcification suspicious

the report clearly shows two parts microcalcification and need biopsy.

I followed the instruction and did the biopsy, I thought it's done.

but one month later, I found the biopsy note mentioned I need to return to do another biopsy for the other microcalcification

I thought since the report mentioned already two parts microcalcifiation, then should get the tissue of two parts in the same time.

but how could perform one biopsy for one part and 2 months later for the other part, as all microcalcification found in the same time and present in the report conclusion clearly.

someone could help to clarify, I hope could have the idea from doctor practiced this biopsy, but it's impossible to reach .

thank you in advance

Sylvain

Hi Sylvain! That all sounds very frustrating, we're sorry! It's possible that the spots were too far away from one another to be able to biopsy at the same time, but you'd need to confirm with either the radiologist who performed the mammogram or the surgeon who performed the biopsy. We know it's inconvenient to have to go through it twice, but they just may not have been able to get tissue from both areas during one procedure. We hope you're able to get a hold of the surgeon and find some answers!

    thanks Mods understood my frustration.

what I felt confused is no one told me the biopsy should be done twice and I found out by myself.

also I tried to contact radiologist, but without success.

I will try to get the 2nd done asap.
