I really have Cancer...

Options

I have had many illnesses in my 36 years of life but I always come out alright. Since my diagnosis in August 2018, I have had unsucessful fertility treatment, fell and fractured my nose and front tooth, had a pulmonary embolism, suffered horrible neuropathy, diagnosed with diastolic heart failure, and hip and knee arthritis. Now i need radiation as cancer was found during surgery in my breast and 4 of 8 lymph nodes following chemotherapy.

Problem# 1: I can't have radiation until I lose weight.

Problem #2: I really struggle with weight loss. I have been obese all my life even after weight loss surgery.

Problem #3: I had to go back on Lupron despite having a blood clot while on it diring chemo as it was the safest choice. Now I take an aspirin daily and was told to consider ovary removal to reduce clot risk.

I am beginning to question myself and wonder what's wrong with me. Cancer is serious, and I need to buckle down and lose the weight. I need to seriously consider surgery and stop holding on to the dream of biological children. But all this stress makes me want to eat. I am killing myself slowly with the cancer and my weight. I suffer from bipolar depression also and I'm in therapy but it's not helping with this.

How can I make myself realize I HAVE CANCER AND THIS IS LIFE OR DEATH???

Have you ever been in a medical weight loss program? I think you must be classified as morbidly obese to qualify for medical insurance coverage for say weight loss surgery. But in your case with a cancer diagnosis perhaps your doctor can get you in a program.

I've done a medical weight loss program and I have had weight loss surgery. I just never seem to lose much weight or keep it off. I really think it's a mental health issue that I need to get over quickly.

But isn't counseling part of the programs? I would work with your doctor to see if you can get counseling and get to the bottom of why you unable to lose weight.
