I honestly haven't did extensive research on this yet but does anyone have an info or used

CBD or legal Pot for LE? I know it works for MS, RA, Cancer relief and others.

Also, I've heard Benadryl will bring swelling down. Anyone have info on this or other nice "tricks"?

I really, really hate this. Its been 4 months since my surgery and traumatic enough being diagnosed with DCIS let alone having

this supposed life long curse.

I would like to know this too. Given that very little research has been done on THC/CBD, I am not sure this info is out there. I hadn't heard about the benedryl.

I am right there with you on the hating this.

As a retired pharmacist, I cannot conceive of how Benadryl/diphenhydramine could possibly be a useful treatment.

If you are having an allergic reaction with swelling, then this antihistamine would be a reasonable choice. Since it dries things up, taking too much could cause lymph fluid to become more stagnant, the opposite of what we want.

The only benefit I can imagine is making you drowsy enough that you fall asleep and forget you have BC, LE or whatever! That is why manufacturers put it in things like Advil PM, etc.

LE is the result of physiological changes in your lymphatic system. Elevation, compression, deco festive massage, mild exercises (see a therapist to learn what to do and not do please), is basically how you can manage symptoms. No pill or drug will change that. There are some promising surgery that you shouldn’t look into sch as LVA with Dr Chen. Good luck!

Thanks MLmom. It is tempting to fantasize about a simple fix like benedryl, but I'm finally getting my LE stable through consistent use of my sleeve/gauntlet, flexitouch, and exercises that my OT taught me. This is more like managing my arthritis; just much more labor intensive and expensive!

Didn't I read that researchers suspect systemic inflammation as a contributor to LE? So maybe foods with omega 3 (for example, wild salmon, walnuts), and other anti-inflammatorieslike ginger would be worth considering. Couldn't hurt.

I have found that cannabis infused essential oil ointments help with the throbbing and inflammation
