Maybe TMI but pretty damn interesting!

I had a BMX with immediate pre pec expander placement late last year. My BMX was skin sparing but not nipple sparing, however I have a sliver of areola remaining on one breast. After the BMX, the top layer of my skin around the incision site began to dry out and peel. I still have some dead, dry skin stuck near the scar on the side that still has a small sliver of areola. I can't keep the water on that side for long in the shower due to port problems, and I'm afraid to scrub it because the skin is so thin and rubs against the expander and I have no sensation there so I'm afraid if I scrub it I will damage the skin.

So today I decided to try to get the dry, dead skin off by softening it by soaking it with a wet paper towel. So I ran some warm water over the paper towel and placed it over the area.

The paper towel cooled quickly and when I removed it to check the progress, I noticed the skin instantly start to pucker as if the nipple were still there!

I have no sensation there but the weather station still works!
