Waiting for results

Good Morning,

I had my first mammogram in early March. They found calcifications that concerned them. I wasn’t able to have a needle biopsy as the calcifications were too close to the skin. I had a surgical biopsy on 4/3 and am currently waiting for results. I am an optimistic person but was really hoping they would call with benign results by now. I have an appointment with the surgeon tomorrow morning and am trying not to freak myself out. We haven’t told our family so just needing to vent.

    KatP79, we totally understand how nerve-wracking the waiting can be. It is not uncommon that they wait for the doctor to give you results. Have you considered asking someone to come with you, just to ease your worries? We're all here for you. Please give us the update.

    My husband will be there. Thank goodness! I will definitely follow up. Thank you for reassuring me that it’s normal to wait for the results.

    Sorry that you have had to wait. Your appointment is tomorrow so enjoy the rest of today and know that you will have some news soon. Glad your husband will be with you. Keep us posted and wishing you the bes

    The waiting is tough. My core biopsy was this past Friday and I keep letting my head go down the rabbit hole. I was told 2-3 weeks for results. Sending positive vibes your way. ❤️

    I also had biopsy on this past Friday. I am hoping to find my out my results tomorrow or Friday. This waiting is the worst! Trying to stay busy with work and my house has never been cleaner! But honestly going a little nutso! Hoping for the best for you!

    Thank you all for the kind words! Thankfully I got great news this morning! No cancer, nothing abnormal. I thought I handled the waiting well but realized how much weight I was carrying after it was lifted! I will keep my fingers crossed for each of you as well for good news!
