Hard to swallow

Has anyone had trouble swallowing food during chemo treatment? It feels like there's a lump in my throat all the time. And when I try to eat, it hurts like the devil. Most of the time I only can get half of it down because if the pain. And my lips and tongue feel raw.

    I went back to my doctor and he helped resolve my issues with a simple "majic mouthwash" he calls it. It did help, and now I only have to use it occasionally. I have found that frozen popcycles and frozen grapes seem to help with my throat issue too, I'm not sure why unless it's the cold going down.

    Hi - glad you found something that helped!  I had a week with similar symptoms, but they went away on their own after about 7 days.

    The only change I made was the soreness appeared right after I started using medical marijuana oil and went away as soon as I stopped.  Coinscidence?  Probably.

    sound like it could be indigestion. This happens to a lot of people. Try something like omneprazole or lansoprazole or an over the counter indigestion remedy. It's quite unpleasant. Hope it gets better
