Waiting for biopsy result (again)
Hi. Haven’t been here in a while. I’m over 8 yrs since my last Dx. After BMX did 5 yrs of letrozole, which was hellish. Prior Dx was 6 years before that, so I’m 15 years into this swamp.
Found a small lump in my left tram flap last week, right under the skin, same quadrant as both prior cancers (2004 and 2010). Saw MO, got US, BIRADS 4. Had surgical biopsy yesterday. Results expected Mon.
I’m a single mom of 2 (12&15) and I’m losing my mind. Living on Xanax to get through these days. Last recurrence was a complete shock. Stats don’t seem to apply to me. I’m terrified I’ve got stage IV.
I suppose I may get a good news kind of shock on Mon, but I’ve been through too much to feel hopeful. Found metastatic thyroid cancer on PET scan after last recurrence (test was not indicated, but I insisted), so had total thyroidectomy and partial neck dissection (22 lymph nodes removed) immediately after my BMX/TRAM surg infection resolved.
I hate this I hate remembering all the details of my previous trauma. I hate not being able to believe this could be ok.
Thanks for reading. Blessings to all of you

Sending you a big gentle hug. I've had the cancer buffet, so I know how you feel (even though they're different ones). And I'm waiting to get a biopsy scheduled that could change the grade of one that I thought was over and done. Try to do something nice for yourself this weekend.

Thanks to all for understanding, kind words and being there. Only one day to go until results. Every ache and pain is making my mind race. Keeping busy today and cancelled my work meetings for tomw, when I’m supposed to get “the call.” Someone needs to invent the instant biopsy result. This is cruel and inhumane.

So sorry mom and Alice. No one should be subjected to dealing with cancer issues again. Once is more than enough.
