AC Treatment

I wasn’t sure where to post so I started a new topic. What I really wanted to say was THANK YOU to all those that have posted in the past on AC Treatment. I had 2 treatments and was feeling extremely low because of all the side effects. I wanted to tell the doctor that I wanted to quit as I just didn’t think I could handle this anymore. And then I found this site. It was so helpful to know that I was not the only one with side effects, that this was called the Red Devil for a reason and to not give up. I took the suggestions on the post and this 3rd treatment has been so much better. I really think that getting this poison out of the system as quickly as possible is a key to how you feel. I forced myself to stay awake after chemo (I have huge headaches due to the anti-nausea meds and just want to sleep after sessions), and go to the bathroom every 2 hours whether I felt like it or not. I woke up the next day feeling great!! Thursday is always my down day as that is when the anti-nausea meds wear off so I took the anti-nausea meds they send home with me all day whether I felt like I needed them or not and today is soooo much better. I don’t usually do any postings but wanted others to know that it is okay to feel down and that you can’t keep up this chemo plan but you can. And thank you to those who do post so that the rest of us can learn from your experiences. I have one more session of AC and then on to weekly Taxol for 12 weeks so I will definitely be looking at those postings for pointers. Thank you again!!
