How long till period returned after Aromasin?

Hi!

I was just cleared to stop my Aromasin and Zoladex and attempt to harvest eggs.

My question is, how long after your stopped your meds, did your period return? I was told to go get blood work day 2 of my period.

Just trying to get a gauge on what to expect

    I wasn’t aware that premenopausal women were put on aromasin or other AIs. Hopefully someone on this site is in your situation and can answer. Having not had a period in the 7 years prior to diagnosis I don’t expect to ever have another

    I stopped the shots and AI and switched totamoxifen. I had my period back at almost exactly the six month mark. Good luck to you. Your body will resume its normal ways soon.

    Interesting discussion, Aromasin is also exemestane if I am not mistaken. I thought the effects might be permanent. I have been off for 3 years and feel much much better, I was post menopausal before treatment. Sounds like the effects are reversible. Of course, I expect to stay post but the terrible achy joints are so much better my hair looks better too.

    Definitely not permanent, and yes, premenopausal are put on it a lot to attempt to "starve" the hormone positive cancer for 5-10 years.

    Im REALLY hoping that it comes back very fast so I can attempt egg harvesting. I am 31 now, and would love to expand my family.
