Question

How do you guys deal with the wait and watch approach? I have one growing mass that they are monitoring. Two docs looked at my imaging. One said it was suspicious and should be biopsied. The other said she thought it was just another growing Fibroadenoma. Regardless I go in for more testing in a few months. How do you cope with the wait and see? I’m not feeling panicked or anything but it’s hard to notwonder what’s going to happen. Further I think I’ll always be in a pattern of diagnostic testing and biopsies because I’m growing multiple tumors. How do you cope with that?

I don't have any insight to offer but wanted to send a virtual hug and reply to bump your post up. Hopefully someone comes along with a reply soon.

thanks so much. I just keep busy and every once in a while it comes across my mind. Then I go back to life. It’s hard to wait but it’s all I can do

Do some deliberately fun things. It keeps life balanced. I had tests out the wazoo last year starting in June, lumpectomy, re-excision, a couple of CT scans, a kidney removed, then almost 7 weeks of radiation. In between all these, Hubby and I went to concerts, picnics, day trips, and short vacations. It really helped at the time, and now that I look back, it's the memories of the fun stuff that pops into my mind first. Just live, until you no longer have a choice.
