Brands of Tamoxifen w/ least SE

    I've been on tamoxifen 20mg mayla and zydu. After 18 mo. thought I was losing my mind. MO ordered 10mg, meijers brand was Mayne. Thought I was taking 20mg of two previous brands. Depression, and no cognative abilities. Taking 2 wks off to see what I really feel like. Any suggestions??

    I looked up the non medical ingredients to these brands of Tamoxifen-Activas, Mylan, Mayne, and Teva. The first three have between 4-6 non medical ingredients which are similar. The Teva has almost a dozen. I couldn't notice a difference of side effects between Activas and Mayne. It seems like some side effects could be caused by the non medical ingredients rather than the Tamoxifen Citrate. Or is it just the severe and steady depletion of estrogen causing all these side effects?
