Hello! When an MRI reports a fibroadenoma, backed up by mammogram and sonogram reporting the same, what % of the time is it wrong? I have heard that 1-3% of the time a fibroadenoma is not benign. But is that using mammogram alone? If you have an MRI to confirm fibroadenoma that should clear it all up, no? So I guess what I am asking is this: If I have a mammogram, sonogram, and an MRI all finding the mass to be a fibroadenoma, what are the odds/% that it is not a fibroadenoma? Thx!

I would think combined mammogram, ultrasound and MRI all correlating as benign would be pretty definitive.

I would think that with the MRI that it would pretty conclusive. I’ve had two sets of biopsies now on my Fibroadenomas (I have multiple one). They said with the Mamo and ultrasound that they thought that’s what they were. The biopsies concluded they were.
